I don't know why they keep upgrading/fixing the forums; seems to me the only issue with the forums is the constant upgrading itself.

Like a council worker breaking pavement for the hell of it.

Wait wait I have a good one

Still a while away. No point telling everyone if nothing is in concrete.

If family or gf finds out, there'll be hell to pay.

You're coming out?

If he likes single malt and you're adamant about spending $200+, a Glenlivet 21 or Glenfiddich 21 will work.

I have no idea what he likes or what a single malt is... My thought process was the more expensive the better it should be... The more likely he is to like it

Can't really go wrong with a price/quality scale if a product has been around for years. You may not get the best value but will still be a good gift so who cares.

Can buy Blue Label JW which is a bit more realistically priced than it used to be, but at least most people know what it is and what it's worth. People still say it's overpriced and that something like Chivas is better, but I'm no expert...I've given more of the shit away than drunk it.

Also, computer seems to continually log me out of say after just signing in... Another forum 'upgrade' I assume...

I updated my bookmarks to change the URL to sau.com.au instead of skylinesaustralia.com - stopped the issues for me

also did this. thanks to viper2002 for suggestion

paid speeding fine the other week cause it was due. received a letter saying it had been withdrawn due to being charged the incorrect amount and my money would be refunded if I'd already paid it... attached to the back is a re-written version with $5 more on the amount due :|

surely you would just let it slide and ignore it...

If he's not a huge scorch drinker then the more $$$ = better will not really work. As they get older and more expensive the flavojr gets more intense.

If he likes chivas then stick to the speyside malts (basically anything with "glen" in the name) and you can't go wrong.

Birds is right about blue label as well. It's overpriced yes, but it's a great drink and he will definitely know it, where he might not know the others and that is a huge plus in this situation.

I'd suggest that or a Glenfiddich 18 as being the better recognisable options.
