I remember this bday...I bailed :(

Fk your bday, just have me round for dinner and introduce me as Jess' replacement because you're finally coming out of the closet - would be hilarious no?

Agree with homestyle, always going to be better than all but the best restaurants. My mother is a ridiculously good cook - not just because of who she is, but other people tell me this.

haha i could imagine if they believed it aswell..

yeh.. its the same thing here, all my mates and relo's that have eaten my parents cooking love it.. people that cant even take the heat will still go for seconds.. especially mauritians man, those dream boats go red n sweaty lol

can we push it to sunday? duck party!!

eh. i have to work on sat LOL. boss said 2 girls have taken sat off so i couldnt. minds a little foggy too. no idea how i'm going to do friday's paper.

can't Sunday picking parents up from airport

will organise for few weeks time

I've been once or twice and wasn't the biggest fan, but that might be due to me going on non-peak times so not as fresh as it could be.

There used to be a Rich Maha in the city off Collins street which I used to go to quite regulary during lunch, I always thought the food there was quite good.

same people. used to have a joint near williams too. i think they've sold both the cbd joints

its not my shit, my mum and dads shit.. fkn good!

the thing with restaurants is that majority of them make shit in bulk and its all commercialised recipe's i haven't come across many places that taste anything as good as home made(with standards) havnt been to RM so dunno bout there but yeh..and im sure Niroj will back me up(unless he's indian which i doubt - dream boats blacker than night) Sri Lankan styled cooking is f**king ten times better than indian.

sif think im indian. i shower regularly. in fact i had one last month :P. nah nothing as good as home made, nor anywhere near as hot, but its decent stuff. the cook does malaysian, indian and lankan. does the first two better though.

must not be that good then :P

would be nice if i was actually trained as a chef, and not self taught.

lol. the only training i got was as a teppanyaki performer. meh.

tepanyaki is still pretty good training..

to me it was a waste.. i never actually worked in the industry for more than a month.. i dont know how hamish did it for so long.

Alv - now that you're an eastern suburbs kid, have you tried Rich Mahas yet? I know it looks like shit, but this beef curry is decent and there's no better roti in Melbourne.

Prolly should have instagrammed that or something, clear images don't do it any favours lol.

Have you eaten every available roti in Melbourne to make such an outrageous statement?
