R32 Gtr Brakes...

Hey guys just want to get some details on disc brake sizes in 'mm' for 89-93 r32 gtr's brembo equiped and non brembo equiped.

Is there any differences in size with the vspec brakes other than the calipers.

Sumitomo caliper (non brembo) 296x32mm.

Brembo equipped cars were 324x30mm

on the dba site it says r32 gtr non vspec and vspec both use 324x30 for fronts and 300x22 for rears????

No it doesn't. There are two sets of entries for non-Vspec, early and late.

For "Nissan" "Skyline" "1989/May - 1993/Aug ; R32 GTR (Eng: RB26DETT) (Early)" as the search options, shows sizes as 296x32 front and 292x18.

For Jul/93 - 1994 GTRs non V-spec it lists the same size as the V-specs. ie 324x30 and 300x22.

I have a Feb 1994 build non V-Spec and I have the same as early GTRs, sumitomo calipers (ie. not brembos).

I think i should just measure up my existing discs to save any mix up whilst purchasing a set.

From 1989 to 1994 the R32 was fitted with Sumitomo callipers that used the 296*32 + 292*18 rotors.

The exception to this was the Vspec version that used the Brembo calliper & 324*30 + 300*22 rotors.

So the date listed in the DBA cattledog is wrong for the end of the smaller rotors on the GTR, ie it didnt end in Aug 93.

Look at the calliper & you will then point you in the right direction. The only way it would be wrong is in the extremely unlikely event that the previous owner has adapted the Sumitomo calliper to the 324 rotor in which case there will be an extra adaptor on the calliper.
