R33 GTST is 187KW standard.

Ive heard that GTR's Actually put out more power than the 206KW but say that because of the laws in japan. Im interested to see some rwkw results from each of these cars stock. I know they will probaly differ a bit but it would be interesting and we may see some proof of more than 206kw in the GTR's and remember you loose more rwkw in a 4wd system conpared to a rwd system.

my r33 got dyno and it has 190kw at rw so whats that from the enigen

The GTR's are DEFINITELY more than 206kw's. Esitmating on about a 30% drive train loss, or 70% of the fly wheel power, GTR's would have around 270-280kw's.

You are not going to pull high 4 to low 5 second 0 - 100's with 206kw's and 1550kg to lug around. M3 is around 5.4 0 - 100, got 256kw's and weighs about 1350kg (roughly).

Add a bit more weight to the GTR and add a bit more power. 270kw's at the fly for GTR's looks about right. I think stock ones are about 190rwk's?

You MUST remember there is a silent code among Japanese Auto Manufacturers that no car shall be built with more than 206 kW or 276HP... This isn't to say they don't have more, but 'officially' they only have 206kW. Of course the GTR has more than 206kW, even the R34 GT-T has more than 206 kW. The MkIV TT Supra apparently has 206kW... It's just a gentlemans agreement in Japan.

Secondly, these ratings are Jap spec... Remember they have 101 ron petrol or whatever, and we only have 98, theres another 10% or so...

The so called "gentlemens agreement" is no more and no one has ever really taken it seriously anyway. R32, 33, 34 GTR - MKIV TT Supra, Evo, Sti, etc, - It hasn't been adhered to for a long time, but no-one has done anything totally crazy. But now that it's acknowledge that the agreement is no longer, you will start to see things like VQ32DETT with about 330kw's (hopefully new GTR). And then 330kw's on the brochure The Japanese are brilliant at making 2 door sports cars, but when you've got the likes of 996 911 Turbos', you gotta push things a bit so now that it's official with no more 206kw limit.

someone told me the japanese dont go by flywheel only what is at the wheels

This is an old thread, but the R33 GTS25t is 250ps (246.6 SEA hp) which is 183.88kw, the 1995+ (series II engine, 1996 is facelift model) is also rated at this same 250ps, but seems to have more power, the Series II that was used for my friends testing, stock standard made 138kw at the rear wheels. This is the information from an emissions test performed during the process of getting a compliancing licence under the new (old) SEVS scheme. The reason the R33 GTS25t only makes 138kw at the wheels is because of the differences in fuel (not only octane rating, but density), also the altitude is different in Japan making the fuel maps behave strangely in Australia. Another aspect to take into consideration is, for the emissions, the ignition timing is taken back from 20degree's before top dead center, and set to 15 degree's, this minimizes the chance of detonation on 91-95 RON fuel, 98 RON shouldn't have any problems with the standard timing.
