New clutch needed?

I tried lighting up second gear last night at about 20kph and all i got was the tacho bouncing off redline. No wheel spin and no gain in speed.

So i figure the clutch is on the way out. I want to get the orgura 4.8kg flywheel at the same time.

What i want to know is why do the prices of clutches vary so much. I can get an organic sports clutch or UAS modified sports clutch for approx $500 at UAS in castle hill. I hope this is all i will need.

But there are other clutches for sale there that are upwards of $3000

Will the sports clutchs do the job? Are the $3000+ clutches for extreme horsepower only?

you can go to western clutches in blacktown i think, they can rebuild your clutch is its single plate with excellent clamping pressure.

clutches around the $3000 are generally brass button clutches and also multi plated.... quite different to a simple $500 single plate sports clutch!!
