Boost Problem

I got givin a turbo thought I would try it it gose ok but I can't hook up my duel stage boost controller. On the turbo there was a vac line from the actuator and turbo so I hooked the controller between them and bov and can only get 10psi even if I turn it up and every other way I hook it up the boost either won't stop climbing or it hits what I have set it as then drops as fast as it climbed till i change gear then it dose it all over again

run a vacuum line from the intake manifold, but not the BOV or fuel reg line or place a feed from the intercooler piping.

What turbo is it btw?

Ok I'll try that thanks and not really sure got it from a mate it was direct bolt up so thought I would try so can boost a bit higher

I tried it still the same I had 1 end to manifold other was t peiced between the actuator and turbo and only got 10 psi and if I only go to actuator it I can change the boost but it hits what's I set it to then drops could the actuator be gone
