you will also find intake temp sensors on vh and vg41/45's nissan v8.however if a rb20det never had one id say it will never need one.

mine rb3026 with hks f con pro v made the afms and intake temp cold start etc all redundant. so i dont really know why a aftermarket ecu would need one at all, oil temp can tell you the state of flogged bearings and if you have a good aftermarket watertemp sensor and gauge it can usually tell you weather your timing is to advanced or retarded as the more retarded it is the more heat is trapped in the head and obviously the hotter the water jacket.

The rb26 intake temp sensor is only used as an ignition trim when excess intake temps are seen to prevent detonation. If your f con pro v is map sensored(ie no MAF's) then it must have an intake temp input. Hence why rb PFC d-jetro's are only available for rb26's. It may not be hooked up, but for a map sensor ecu to work properly there must be an IAT sensor to allow for temp induced variance in air density. I hope you aren't suggesting you tune a cars ignition system with a water temp gauge?

ok...

hmm coz on my power fc both my air and water temps

ALWAYS read the same... i would think these would read different???

cheers

Yours has a reading because your using an RB26 PFC and have had the wires linked so you don't have the nasty check engine light showing constantly.

does the rb26dett run 2 water temp sensors?

if i was to swap my rb20 one with a 26 one would that help? as my water temp is only showing 57 degrees.. so im using more fuel coz the engine is thinking its still cold!!
