having worked for engineers in the past, what i have learned is that you would have to change the engine back....emissions data that was gathered for the engine in question is or at least at the time i was in the know was irrelevent when the engine had been put into another vehicle because of the weight diffrence of the 2 vehicles...also diffrent fuel tanks(evaporative systems) in the two vehicles would alter the emissions data....if the car is tuned right you could send it to ford and get a full shed test and if it passes youd be laughing...but i think it was 2500-3000 when i sent mine there about a year or so ago...this info may be incorrect on todays standards but megalla is right in saying check with an engineer

hmmm where can me or narkeh get in touch with an Engineer? (I think Dave would like to know as well) Dotars? might get onto em on tuesday.

Just rang J-spec, they said that since the engine was a Nissan RB Variant, and the car is a Nissan which came equiped with RB engines (which means things like the exhaust are still in the same position etc, and there are no major modifications to the functioning of the car), they don't forsee any problems with getting compliance on the car (which they will handle anyways). In addition they also said that since test data is available for the engine and the car, and that the car is 1988, there shouldn't be any hassles from the engineer.

Also as a side note, I've noticed that the emissions data on my car (found on the bonnet in my car) read Emission data for Nissan R32 GTR (RB26DETT). Found this greatly aamusing since I've got an RB20DE. So does that mean that I could have brought down a GTS with an RB26DETT and still have passed compliance. Mind you my car was the last RB20DE R32 to come into the country under the old compliance scheme according to canberra.

hahahaha omg thats mad...

nothing major wrong with the body.... luckily i used to be a panel beater :D and that my bro is about to rent out some space for working on cars in the next month or two :D

i might need to order a new front bar (same one)... those stress cracks look a little nasty and will be hard to fix properly. Rear bar looks fine on the outside... what damage is behind it tho is a different story.

by the time im finished with it it will look smick :D
