2 time indy winner Dan wheldon was killed in a 15 car pile up at Las Vegas speedway this morning.

Dan was due to drive touring cars in australia after this event. Sad day for motorsport.

Very sad to see this, it was a very fast crash at a very fast track - Dan was right up the back and had nowhere to go.

hmmm....all motorsport is dangerous. it says so on the disclaimer for every event I enter

The footage clip from Dan's car was quite shocking.

Not sure if it's still available or taken down.

You never know when your number is up but at that track at that speed, the gauntlet gets thinner.
