You will get over 160 kw it's not much at all. My mate has a vlt standard turbo engine put a gt3040 on it sees 17 pound and makes 270 kw with a bigger pump and injectors stock computer. if your just turboing the na engine can't see it lasting to long see it first hand piston went through the head. Like jez said by a 20 or 25. You can buy a 20 for 700 throw a 2510 or td06 and you will love it jez can tell you about a tyre frying 20

I'm not looking for huge huge power, I was almost happy with my N/A tuning. I think it will last a fair while with 7 - 9psi boost, the motor is in good condition. I have a friend still running more boost on his stock RB30, and I know many many more people who do the same. I don't think I'll see a piston going through the head on 7psi through rb25 turbo.

To get back to your original question going by your plans a stock exhaust manifold will be the best bet for you - in any case a new fuel pump should come higher on the list than a fancy manifold.

Use the stock manifold. When the engine blows put a 25 head on it and then buy an aftermarket manifold. Saves you buying two manifolds.

The ebay spec steam pipe is the same as we bought for the jpp missile r33. It had a pin hole which we welded up

wrecker spec rb25det is making 437 hp at the wheel on 19psi boost.

Nothing wrong with the manifolds as long as you check them well enough for pin holes. As far as long term cant say just yet

Thanks for that mate. Yep I am using the stock manifold now, for all who were reading, I picked up a stock VLT manifold for $142 delivered (won on eBay this morning). Once I get it all up and running I will look for what next, but I still need front coilovers which is higher on the list than big power.
