I just recently purchased an r32, and have noticed that the oil pressure doesnt get any higher than the 2 mark, but usually sits around the 3/4 mark, no higher or lower even with high revs. (may be faulty sensor?)

Now today being a hot day 33c, i was sitting at the lights with the air con on, then the air con seemed to start its cooling cycle(? could hear a little more strain on the engine) and the oil light came on.

As soon as i revved it a tiny bit, the oil light turned off, until it snuck back down to idle revs. If i turn the air con off, its fine.

Is this bad, and what can i do to fix?

on this note. is that oil pressure gauge on the dash linked to the oil pressure warning light?

so basically if the gauge is f*king up (which they are known to) does that mean that it will also send a false signal to oil pressure light?

or are they separate? (hopefully)- tho hopefully not for you cos that woudl indicate that you do have oil problems...

Well so far so good, i guess ill have to wait for a hot day to be sure.

Anything i could possibly check which may cause low oil pressure?

It doesnt leak or burn through any oil, the coils need replacing which ill be arranging shortly in case that could contribute anything
