This is the latest generation of the SM4. I purchased this brand new 12 months ago but am changing to a Haltech PS2000 as my tuner is more experienced/comfortable with the Haltech. Currently has a map on there for my 1JZ GTE (but obviously this ECU can be applied to many different 6 or 8 setups.

PROGRAMMABLE PARAMETERS

Launch Control (two step rev limiter based on vehicle speed).

Flatshift (change gears without clutch at WOT using standard gearbox).

Antilag (keep turbocharger on boost during gear changes) with turbo cool down function.

Selectable ignition tables. Output tables can be based on any X and Y axis parmentier.

Fuel and ignition tables have 32 rpm and 16 load site axis.

Many correction tables for precision fuel & ignition adaption.

Table axis values totally user selectable.

Multi tooth, missing tooth, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Ford TFI and Gen3 triggers. Software selectable trigger angle.

Dedicated idle control with additional settings for better adaption to changing operating condition and a more stable idle.

Dedicated Closed loop boost control, and other settings for stable boost pressures. Dedicated A/C compressor control.

Autotune (self tuning software). Requires O2 sensor.

Dedicated twin cooling fan control.

Dedicated NOS injection control, coordinates fuel & ignition.

13 General purpose control modules for O/P control. (use for variable fuel pump, power steering, inlet manifold air valves, extra temperature control devices etc) 4 of these are capable of PID feedback control (typical application for PIDs are variable camshaft positioning or inlet manifold length).

Mapping via manifold pressure, throttle position, manifold and throttle or manifold, throttle and exhaust backpressure.

    • Howdy all,   I had my rb25det S2 rebuilt and finally started it today but have run into a few issues  Engine sounds like a a diesel easiest way to summarise like small ticking, gets louder when revs are slightly adjusted  The engine builder repainted the engine cover leaving no where for me to go off with lining up the CAS so have it as central as possible so not sure it that could be affecting it?, changed the gearbox fluid too but won’t seem to go into gear when running, and only 1 to 4 when off having a hard time finding 5th and reverse anyone got any ideas or a base for me to start off? much appreciated
    • Well, no. It's an 023, which is pretty similar to an 040. Although it is hard to tell from the specs, as given.
    • Hmm. Maybe the (other thing I forgot about!) Haltech removes at least some, if not all, of the problem I described. I guess there is still the possibility of getting it wrong if the AC is set up/wired up for the Haltech as if it was in an R34 (simply because it's on a Neo), and that's playing foul with the R32 AC computer.
