Hi Everyone!!

My car is a 98 ER34 GTT I had recently upgraded my stock brake line to NISMO brake hose, and using Endless brake fluids. I find out after driving there is oil leak from the bottom of the car, does it happened into any members car in here?? Need Some Help ASAP.

Yes, it is critical to know whether the leak is brake fluid or not before you drive the car again.

If you sit in the car and pump and then hold the brake pedal, does it slowly sink to the floor? If so you have a brake fluid leak somewhere that you need to sort out before using the car again.

And if you aren't sure, get a mechanic to check it.

Check the brake fluid reservoir - is it low? Follow the leak back to the source. One of the lines may be a bit loose, but you should use a flare nut spanner to tighten it as open enders can damage the fitting. If fluid has leaked onto the pads you'll have to replace them as well.

I had same problem when I had my Nismo lines fitted, I didnt notice a leak but I noticed 24hrs after my fluid was about 4mm below the max line. Mechanic tightened up all 4 corners and since then I haven't lost a drop

This thread is a clear example of not f**king with stuff when you don't know what you are doing. You could have killed yourself or someone else if the brakes failed and without fluid they fail. Next time you need work done to critical parts of the car like the brakes either know what you are doing or don't f**k with it.

Sounds harsh but seriously count yourself lucky your car ain't written off or worse.

Mechanic tightened it up. f**king hell... domokun.gif

haha you sound so mean, but I didn't change it myself, the car was in the workshop for few upgrade and the guy from the workshop told me there is oil leak after the lines were fitted, so I just want to know what cause the problem. if anything lead you to misunderstand sorry for it.

    • yeah I've never understood that either.... And to answer an earlier question, I write the date on open bottles and throw them if more than 12 months old (which they almost always are, because I don't need to bleed them unless I'm changing lines/calipers etc in between)
    • Nah, the one that hit the boot was a big steel locker, around 6 foot height, 4 foot wide and 2 foot deep, empty it weighs about 15kg and had about that amount of stuff in it The photo didn't give a good representation of the actual damage, the large ding on the passenger side was about a inch deep, the one on the driver was about 1/2 inch deep, right on the curve, where the inner boot frame doesn't let you get behind it with a dolly Basically the same issue with getting behind the damage on the centre of the boot We could have filled it all with bog, but my OCD would be triggered every time I looked at it, knowing what hides beneath  As for the locker, I did get the shits with it and put it in the scap metal bin, but, I pulled it out and it is now sitting in the garage at home full of car servicing stuff, cleaning gear and random tools, it's going to pay for it's indiscretions
    • Whilst I typically don't cheap out on things, if I can save some money, like $1000, on a clean straight panel, that gives me $1000 to spend on other stuff, basically free money really 🤔 🤣
    • Is the toolbox that damaged the boot seal the same item that fell on the car during the storm a while back?
