Hi Guys,

Im trying to replace all 5 wheel studs on the rear of my R32 GTST.

Ive taken the calipers off as well as the actual rotor itself but i dont know if i need to undo anything more to get the plate that the studs go thru off or just keep trying to pry the damn thing off...

any help would be great as im supposed to be getting these on by this afternoon cause someone wants to test drive the car :)

The studs are a press fit in the rear hub. The hub is a spline fit to the driveshafts and held in place by a big arse nut done up to a HUGE torque (there's also a lock plate and split pin over the nut). I think the nut itself requires a 30mm socket, plus you'll probably need a puller to get the hub off - after you've got the nut undone.

It might be possible to drive out the old studs with the hub in place after you take off the handbrake shoes to give enough clearance (you should see those 'behind' the hub after the disc is off). If you can get the old ones out that way, getting the new ones in should be fairly easy. If your not sure tho, don't try esp with time so short.
