Brake Dust

hi guys i have pretty bad brake dust on the dish of my front rims that i cant get off tried jiff because i got told to try it...got some of it off but there is still a bit on there just wondering if there is anything else i could try without damaging the coating that is in my dish think its annodise not to sure thanks

I use armor-all wheel cleaner on my chrome rims and it does a fantastic job! I've been using it for over a year and never had any problems with it. I spray it on my red painted calipers too and they come up looking almost new everytime it has a warning on the back of the bottle saying not to leave the spray on for more than 30 seconds so spray it off fairly quick and I try not to spray it directly on the brake pads.

By using Jiff, you've abraded away the clear-coat.

And since you've done that, you might as well get some Subaru "Upper Engine Clean" which will remove (with persuasion) brake dust grime that has penetrated the coat.

Clear coat spray will need to be reapplied. Please don't use Jiff again on precious alloys.

If your clear coat is in good condition, "Zymol" spray on solution is quite remarkable.

Apply with a soft brush > wait > sponge > rinse > wipe.

yess jiff is horrible horrible stuff on wheels

zymol has good stuff

i use FI Power Wheel Cleaner, its pretty good imo got rid of like a year of euro brake dust on my dads volvo XC90 in one go lol

are you in perth by any chance? i can help you out with that if you need

or if you are in melb/sydney there is a FI boutique there you can pick it up from

i also find autosol to be veerry effective after using wheel cleaners, just that its so ridiculously time consuming ..
