Full Lock Right... Half Lock Left?

Test drove a fixer-upper-er yesterday, and I noticed it only had full lock to the right. If you went full lock left, it went half way and stopped...

Thoughts on what could cause this?

Edit: I was thinking steering rack.. as it's the only thing I could think of.

steering rack for sure, could be something stuck on to stop it from going further. some dirt or something.

otherwise, maybe some teeth missing in the other thing that connects to it, but i'd expect that to affect both.

Depends, is it going really excessive lock to one side? It could be the rack isnt centred, only way to tell is get it up on a hoist and have a look.

Ehh not buying the car so it could be anything hahaha xD

Ahh well... wouldn't have certainly been the rack. But for the cost of putting an RB26 into the thing, might as well buy a GTR
