Nistune

I am about to order a nistune daughter board.

My question is that i already have a ecutalk usb cable, it has 2 other wires that are not used in the obd plug. Should they be hocked up or not.

I have found a piture of a obd plug which was listed on http://www.plmsdevelopments.com/sr_setup_tips.shtml

(yes i know that it is a site for sr20 engines)

any ideas would be very helpful with this.

Nup, that's how it's supposed to be, mine is the same. Works fine with NIStune.

Nissan consult has same 4 as urs but the black is green and a red 12v power going into the top right.

RX - blue

TX - yellow

GND- green (in ecutalk its black)

CLK - white

12v - red

the red wire is the one that i was mainly asking about.

Do i need to put it in of just leave it out

Try without it first.

Check continuity between the two black wires. Im curious if its just a spare

The aim of that cable I think is to draw power from the USB slot rather than the CONSULT port to power the cable
