Gtr Atessa System Fluid?

Hey guys,

Just want to know how criticle it is to use genuine nissan fluid when bleeding the atessa system or is it okay to use other brands ?? Any feed back would be awesome as im planning to bleed the system on the weekend.

As far as I understand, the fluid is only for actuating the mechanical ATTESSA pump, it's not actually lubricating anything.

Runs from attessa pump assembly, to actuator on the back of the transfer case. Just lubes the pump seals, actuator seals etc.

Not a MUST for the ATTESSA system, but IMO a must for the transfer case.

I may or may not get a bit of fanboi love here, but after running back to backs on my xfer case oils using a nulon synthetic and Matic-D (recommended nissan oil) i was told the nulon is as good if not better than the genuine oil, and at a fraction of the cost. You can buy the oil in 1-1.5L containers from supercrap for cheap. Read the label, it tells you what its compatible with and what in can be used in leu of. Good luck and cheers
