Hey guys just wondering if someone can help me, I'm purchasing a daily for the time being and the car I'm looking at was registered in NSW in 2009, driven to VIC and the registration has since lapsed.

I've tried entering the previous rego into the RTA website and it say's it doesn't exist.

The previous registration was BC46ZV and the VIN number was AVL055981M.

I can't seem to find anything on this and it being a BT1 thus is carries a higher price tag, I don't want to be buying a write-off in NSW.

If anyone could help me I'd greatly appreciate it

Due to the fact that's it's out of rego, you need the engine number to be sble to check it

BT1 = VS or earlier copspec amirite?

Engines had a rebuild with a different block in the last year unfortunately.

Revs check is the same, comes up with no records.

VL BT1 all original.

Sounds like a risky buy, esp for a daily: no rego, new engine etc...

Its NOT all original if the block has been changed..

For all we know its a 400,000km old NA RB30 with the original turbo thrown on and then the car put up for sale

btw Dont get me wrong it could be a great car...I would be questioning why the original block isn't there any more......Only reason you wouldnt use the original would be if it was damaged beyond repair i.e its kicked a leg out of bed.

I would be asking some serious questions to the owner and if he is a little vague or doesnt answer questions fully than walk away
