funkymonkey
Get a black un!! R32's are nice, most of the ones on auctions now should be expensive though, coz they would have gone thru their 10 year rebuild, which would mean a pretty quality car, the downside being their price. 400HP
I'm not talking to anyone in particular in this thread but how many of you have actually driven an R34 GTT. How many have driven the GTR as well? I you've driven an R34 GTT you'll realise how different it is to an R33 GTS-T. Also if you drive a GTR there is again a huge difference. This is stated by most people anyway because its an obvious fact. The R34 GTT is in my opinion (and everyone has their own) a lot better to drive than an R33 GTS-T. As people know.. the R34 was based back on the R32 chasis to "bring the driver closer to the car" again. The R34 develops more power and torque and does this quite easily in most gears even before boost comes on. The steering is not light like an SS Commodore (although your comment about most new cars is valid... I think Nissan turbos are slightly different.... I would say for example an S13 is more raw than an S15 but thats not what I'd look for in a car) and you get good response, the throttle response is excellent and the power delivery is smooth (in standard form). Although heavier when I drove the R34 it felt lighter than an R33 and more nimble. If you haven't driven one... test drive one and compare it to your GTS-T and you'll notice differences. If you have to live with the car everyday the interior is also nicer etc etc..... I'm not gonna say I don't care aout the looks of the car cos I do.... and I thnk the R34 looks nicer (in my opinion) than the previous GTS-Ts (but not an R33 GTR ). If everyone was pure sports car enthusiasts with no regard for looks why don't we see more GTi-R's on the street. I wuld still consider the R34 GTT.... its also hard to find good examples of R32 GTRs.... Guest ylwgtr
Go and buy the R32 GTR......i wish they made an R34 GTR with a camira body on it....i would have bought it!Too many people worry about what looks good and not the shear mechanical brilliance of such an automobile.I have driven them all 32-33-34 gtrs and gts-gt-t.Supras with truckloads of HP ferraris and all the rest of it...I can say the nissan GTR is the best high volume manufactured vehicle ever made.100k for an R34 is half the price of what such a lovely car like that should be worth.people will also always talk about Big power figures they are going to achieve...i mean sure this can happen but try pullin the thing around a corner...or in the wet.Go the GTR Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/3813-r34gtt-vs-r32gtr/page/2/#findComment-62797 Share on other sites
Ethan_R32
Get the GTR man. Alot more potential for mods and power etc. Im kind of in the same boat as you. Im selling my R33 for want of a GTR. I am a diehard nissan fan and couldnt settle for anything less than an R32 GTR. I think the shape of it looks really "tuff" and has the power to match. And like you said, it is a classic. Not many cars got banned from Bathurst for being too fast:D Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/3813-r34gtt-vs-r32gtr/page/2/#findComment-62803 Share on other sites

NIZ30
I love Franks 34GTT...makes me really want one. But looking at his pictures (mind you, this is all I've seen, never got in one), is the interior of an R34 much different than 33 or even 32? I know mine shares nearly the exact same lines, and shape. Besides newer seats and nicer dials. Is there much difference? Fitzpatrick Speed Works
Go the r32 gtr. Peak like someone said earlier you do need to drive each car and find what suits you, eg. love the r33gtr looks wise but its such a daily driver no where near as much of a race car as the r32 or r34, what im getting at is there are alot of differences even though they are all badged "skyline"!!! Oh just to add something alot of you may be disregarding in this price range, the s15 silvia second hand are readily available for 35g so is the rx7 both absolutetly superb chassis'.:uh-huh: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/3813-r34gtt-vs-r32gtr/page/2/#findComment-63541 Share on other sites
400HP
s13 drifter... I partially disagree with your comment... yes the 33 GTR isn't as fast as either the 32 or 34 (by 10ths of seconds on a quartermile) and in the experience of people who have driven it its not as 'pure' a car but I definitely wouldn't go as far as to say its a "daily driver car" no where near as much of a race car.... it definitely is still close enuf to a race car and given equal drivers for all three cars I reckon yes it probably would come last but not by much... its still a GTR... it still has ATESSA... it still has an RB26DETT...
