Chocco PM sent. Be nice.

Lilcrash gravity rules over oil too, so find the highest point at which there is oil,

If its only around the top of the oil pump then it may be the oil pump gasket = engine out unfortunately

But check its not coming from the cam covers or cam seals and running down behind the black timing cover backing.

When u noticed the leak was it dripping?

There is oil splatters all over the rail that runs under the front of the engine (the one with all the holes in it) and a few drips on the floor. But it must be pretty minimal because there isn't any oil missing from the sump

Are you sure there is no way to do the pump without pulling the engine back out?

Make a thing that hovers engine in its position, like across strut towers, remove the frame part that holds your wheels? and engine mounts, and sway bar, bingo. If you have a hoist and the tools it'll be easier than engine removal... I haven't done it but did think about it.

To me it looks to be above the oil pump. If it is the cam seals il be happy.

Someone said you can pull it out enough to do the seal without sump off, or do as I did and just high temp sealant it. Took me 2 hours to pull everything off, stop posting and get pulling apart son!

Ok so I ran it without the covers and there wasn't any oil coming from anywhere. As far as I can see the oil is just coming from no where. I'm going to degrease it all and see if it comes back. Maybe I spilt more then I thought.
