Head Unit Help

Hey,

I got up bright and early this morning planning on ripping out he old sony xplod head unit and replacing it with an upgrade but am a little stuck,

I have been following the tuts online here but whoever installed the headunit previously did a major tape job, So im not feeling reaaaal confident with installing it anymore i was wonder if anyone could offer some advice?

Should i just cut all the cables and start fresh? Or even easier does anyone know someone on the northside the might be able to lend a hand?

Solved, Ended up just cutting them all off starting fresh and doing my own sherty tape job ha

I was lucky, whoever had done the one in mine had put nice plugs on all the correctly colour coded wires. All i needed to do was put male plugs on each of my headunit wires and plug green into green etc.

glad u sorted it out if u ever want a plug in harness just go to supercheap and get the nissan one it aint pricey and save a lot of time

I'm anal like that. I label and make nice soldered plug connectors too.
