oh dont worry, crap can and does get in there sometimes

we had a truck that was goin from sydney to brisbane and the thing was gutless...

ended up pulling off the fuel pick up line between the tank and lift pump to find that there was all types of grassy crap comin out of the fuel tank

Dunno what fuel has been used in it, fuel smells off as u prob throw a match in the tank and it one blow up it's that old.. Car has been sitting for about 2yrs the filter on the fuel

pump has fallen apart as well, but I live in darwin and i don't know anyone that does it up here.. I was thinking blast it with water and some cleaning stuff and let it sit for a couple of days.. Dunno how well that will work tho

caustic soda will clean it up, pressure cleaning wont get everywhere in a baffled tank ,done it with 2 tanks now on cars that have sat around for a few years and the grunge was so bad that it seized the pumps,if you have access to compressed air then do the lines(feed and return)and change the filter while the tank is out, you will need bout 300~400 grams of the stuff to do it properly , read safety instuctions carefully or you wilbe sorry, PM me if you would like more details

Roundup weed killer :D

Definitely will fix his grassy problem, my grandad spilt some on our grass and now theres just a big dead patch in the middle of our backyard. Dont think it'll be growing back anytime soon either.
