I have seen some guy over in the USA, put a hair drier so it would force more air into the engine and had worked out some way of cooling down the air after the hair drier, it was done on a magna.

It did give some extra HP 5-10, but not a very good way of doing it, after 2-3 weeks the car got hit and was a write off.

As for your compessor idea, it's already been done via air and water that moves around your engine already.

In water cooling for a computer it works well, because there is only 1-3 hot spots, this would be the CPU, GPU, motherboard chipset etc, so the overall heat isn't a great deal to get rid of, the problem you have to deal with isn't the hot spots but how to cool down the hot water quick enough so it can be passed around again.

A car engine even with the water system already in it gets very hot, and the current best way is to use the air coming through the ar while it's moving, it's even better if the air was cooler but you can't do much about that.

If your trying to cool down your intercooler even more, this has been done since the 60's, is to spray a fine mist of water across the intercooler, this cools down the air very quick and cools down the intercooler quickly to.

Again the problem now lies with the amount of water you need, you can't spray it all the time as you'll run out of water at some point.

The GPS navigation system, buy one from Alpine, Sony, Samsong, LG, who ever there's heaps of them now, Alpine has brought out a new TV screen that's also a headunit that will handle every type of connection, so it's a radio, TV, Console/computer screen, Nav Screen, Car Data Displyer, it shows about 5-7 different things.

Mobile TV is also done by these same companies as well, not cheap though a mobile TV ant is probably $1000 to $3000, and that's not the install.

everyone keeps thinking that my huff duff idea is for gps... its more than that less at the same time.

the idea is to locate a vehicle(s) without first having to drive past it or near it.

The easiest way to do that would be if the vehicle in question transmits via radio cos then another vehicle can get a compass bearing to that radio source.... now this will give direction but not distance.

2 or more different bearings can be used to triangulate the direction and distance of the source, so u now have a bearing and approx range to the broadcaster.

add to this the receivers gps co-ords and now a third party can gauge that there is a radio broadcasting 3km away on a bearing of say 75 degrees from the receiver. if the third party then maps this info on a computer generated map and transmits that graphical info back to the receiver the recevier now has a graphical snap shot of the broadcasters loaction.

the more receivers u have the more range and more accurate the map is.

so if all reveivers started listening for say police radio (dont have to decipher it just hear it) then the finaly outcome would be a map of say sydney with points on it marking the location of cop radios be it cars stations speed traps or foot patrol.
