Battery Dead - Cannot Gain Entry To Car!

Hi Guys

I need some guidance here! I just returned from a 2 month vacation to find my that my car battery is completely dead. The immobiliser/alarm light is not blinking and the keyless entry does nothing so i cannot get in the car at all. Does anyone know how i can get into the car to pop the hood or is there a way to pop the hood manually so i can charge the battery?

And should I expect any complications after I charge the battery perhaps due to some electronics being locked or anything?

Hi, yeh sorry forgot to mention. There doesnt appear to be any keyholes. I have attached a picture of my drivers side door handle. There is a silver thing that looks to be a keyhole but its closed and I cannot insert the key into this.

Ok, so the silver thing appears to be a keyhole cover, i removed it by using a 10c coin as a screwdriver. This exposed something that appear to be a keyhole but my fob key doesnt fit in it!

Nope, I didn't get another key apart from the one I insert into the ignition.

Kidding! however, if you cant get the door open with the key. id break the front grill and undo the bolts holding the bonnet down. then just open the bonnet and jump the car.

that would be the cheapest and easiest part to break and repair.

thats as a last resort.

Another option (before breaking things) is to jack the car up, crawl under it, and bridge power to either the alternator main wire or starter motor wire with a jump pack or another battery. Then just unlock it and open the bonnet....

Will try all the options, starting from the least destructive and cheapest and will let you know how it goes!

I work for RACV, thus knowing the above method. Alot of the time if late model cars are locked with a flat battery, you simply can't get into them as the locks are electronic and simply won't unlock. If he hasn't already called RACV etc, chances are he isn't a member.....

yep new battery time. century do a decent one that will drop into that hole.
