Tips For Selling?

I've got the following tips for selling my car, but I was wondering if there were any tips you guys have for getting people interested, or my car noticed?

Not superficial crap like "keep it clean, take awesome pics" etc. because that stuff is a given.

What I've done:

• Vaccum, wash, paint cleaner all around, polish all around, cleaned windows inside/out, cleaned carpet + interior
  
• Cleaned inside all the door sills
  
• Took an awesome picture of the car for the main pic on carsales
  
• Took pics around the car showing most areas + the engine bay (which I degreased… even though it didn't need it)
  
• Posted car on carsales; haven't bought a premium pack, though.
  
• Put a big-ass sticker on the back
  
• Posted on SAU
  

I've driven it to work as I work near the RTA, so I think I might go park it outside for a bit. Plus I was thinking about sticking it out on a main road for a bit..

Any other tips?

one tip... be reasonable on your price..

also try find any receipts for parts / work / oils etc etc. since i bought my skyline ive made my own log book (just a folder with receipts for parts/oils and wrote down what mileage it was done at) Yeah sure its not a legit log book but it shows to people (if i was to sell it) that i have looked after it..

Reasonable price, and prepare yourself for mega time wasters.

Basically anyone who just sends texts is a waste of time.

Make sure that the people who are going to take a test drive are serious about buying

I have taken so many people for test drives that don't end up buying it they just thrash your car for no reason

When I sold my last r32 I was lucky after reducing the price a few times and answering time wasting texts the first person to actually come look at it look at it for over half an hour before he asked to test drive it took it up the block and back and made me an offer and took it away

Most of the parts were sourced from a spare parts dealer who did me heaps of deals, so i never got a receipt haha

But yeah, I've got receipts for the clutch + suspension.

I've had a fair number of people look at the carsales ad.. more than my last car... I'm guessing noones that interested right now -.-

Might go park it out front of the RTA for a bit haha

10K is a bit much for a NA skyline unless its pretty much flawless..

stock to mildly modified turbo r33's are going for 10K or less in QLD.. unfortunately its a buyers market at the moment.. price will be dictated by how desperate you are to sell it..

If OP was in QLD I'd say he would get pretty close to the money hes asking.

And as I was saying before I dont reply to txt messages if theyre keen theyll call.

just looked on car sales.. some decent 32's and 33's with decent mods going for the 9k mark..

I wouldnt either but the p platers are pushing up the value for NA imports... I remember when I was looking at buying a skyline/silvia it was the other way around, then all of a sudden the laws came in and all the NAs went up in price.

Yes, reasonable price is an important to seller. The tips are good. But, these tips are using for impressive to buyer.

Yeah i definitely wouldn't pay more than $5k for a N/A 33. Cant believe people would pay that!

One of my mates got his car sold in 24 hours by asking all of his facebook friends to post a status saying "Buy gav's VL"

If even 50 people posted it with lets say 400 friends each, 50x400=20000, that's a quick and easy way to get the word out in your area (:
