I have Sony 504X 50w per channel , looking to replace with 80w or 100w per channel.

depends on which model and what you want it for, cost ?

like all brands they make cheap and expensive and everything in between. the cheap is about the same as the sony

the old sony, is fine for fronts but subwoofer no. youre not going to gain a lot from a low end cadence 100w per channel on front speakers. a mid to upper model would improve it
