dump pipe cost

i got a 3.5 inch straight through but am in need of a dump pipe

any ideas on how much they are installed?

also if theres much difference between each brand

does it run the std dump with the 3.5 inch?

If it does just buyone to suit an r33. I heard ther split type is best.

Its an easy job to do yourself, only like 5 or 6 bolts. Use a new gasket, and some loctite and u should be flyin

What does the 3.5 inch system sound like at full roar, compared to a 3 inch you reckon, if i can ask??

its not that loud at all, i had an integra with a 2inch that was heaps louder

sometimes at about 6000 rpm i might get a pop through the exhaust

thats not a bad thing is it?

(im not sure what a 3inch sounds like off hand)

nah. small backfires are ok. Mate of mine has a vs ss with hsv options (computer remap + exhaust) It pops most of the time.

antilag systems, how do they go with ur tubo and exhaust with these explosions comming right out the exhaust? do they kinda hurt the turbo or exhaust at all?

u can get a good dump pipe made up at any decent exhaust shop, for a custom one you would pay around $200.

yeah i have found a custom dump or even ready made bolt on items cost $3-400

My dump pipe on the stock turbo cost me under $200 and worked a charm, dropped the spoolup from 3500 to 2500 and gave me a fatter midrange and a peak HP gain of 10hp. A dump/front combo pipe would certainly cost more than $200 perhaps that is what you are thinking of? A dump pipe is only the small pipe that comes directly off the turbo and then connects to the front pipe which goes then to the cat. no point in just doing the dump pipe as you need to change the front pipe to 3-3.5" to help the flow.
