I think it is, mate. I posted a couple of months ago asking what the quickest anyone had gone with a std, non-hiflowed turbo was and the best response i got was a 12.9.

I think a second quicker is significant enough to prove a point. :) :) :)

Wasn't anything funny either - i.e. Optimax fuel, no additives, regular BCPR7ES plugs etc...

Adrian

At times i still wish i had my r33.... im trying to get the new owner to take it out to the track, running the boost it was tuned for.... hopefully within sometime he may and it will see an 11 on st tyres/ trim with no fuel additives either. My cards are on for a 11.8 @ 122-125mph but we'l see.

Excellent results Adrian! Congrats :D

How much gas did you run? Still 50hp? If so, that's bloody awesome mate. Either way 11.9 @ 117 on a standard turbo is outstanding!

I can't wait to see how far I can drop my 60's with my new 275 Nittos. My Nittos have more experience than I do! They're 70-80% tread ex-9sec Keir Wilson NT555R'S :(

No honestly all sh*t stirring aside Adrian you did awesome

I was utterly amazed at the gains made from the Nitrous, sort of changes the way I look at any skyline with fmic, power fc and standard turbo as with Nitrous it has the potential for a 11 sec pass in it, you will have to get it back on a dyno soon so you can post before and after dyno sheets as i'm sure everyone is very interested

My crappy times and slip.

First time I had ever run, and was a little nervous of breaking something and having to get back to Melbourne from Heathcote.

2.61 60 ft

14.27 @ 104.97mph

Wheel spin was a bit of an issue, need more practice really. :burnout:

Hopefully get back out there soon and have another crack.

Adam

Hi Benm

I have a standard turbo running 15 pound. I think it is out of its efficiency at that boost though. Drops back to 13.5ish high in the revs. Other than that I have a greddy cooler, pod, link ecu, and a 3inch exhaust.

The car running next to me was an LS1 if anyone is interested.

Adam

I haven't been out to the drags in a while, but when it was bone stock except for 12psi, pod, 3" exhaust and a mildly slipping clutch, I ran [email protected] . Best mph was 102.09.

Once I've got the PFC tuned and the cooler piping hooked up, I'll be taking it out again to see how much difference the T3/4, FMIC, PFC and brass button clutch make :)

Was tempting to post up the timecards for the bike... :P

    • You have the option to do this. Nobody but me ever did this (go slower, I mean) Everyone seems to fall victim to "This would be a great setup for you, but for me, I need a little more power..."
    • Save yourself the headache of an alarm. Immobilizer on the signal side of the main EFI relays so it won't start is good enough. DIY killswitch is the same thing except instead of a nice passive system you need to remember to switch it on and off.

    • There's a post from a member (can't recall who), went down the path of a twin scroll G30-660 and it's doing over 300kW+ AND comes on about the same as a high flow RB25DET turbo. Have your cake and eat it too in this case. TBH, if I had a 2nd chance of building my car again (i.e. someone gave me what I wanted for my shit box, but the deal was I had to re-build another R33 and keep the change) I would just pop in a stock NEO motor (with new seals, rod bearings, ARP studs, head gasket, sump, Nitto pump), get a smaller twin scroll turbo, modify the stock low mount (keep the divider in place), and make a solid 300kW on 98RON and call it a day.
