Second hand intercooler?

Anyone got or know a good place to pick up a second hand R33 GTR intercooler to use on a GTST?

I am thinking that I should go the cheaper route rather than buying a new kit, and use that money towards my exhaust (I want to get the new Hitech system with the split dump pipe, but its a tad pricey )

I assume the stock skyline cooler is not worth anything to anyone?

it all depends on how much power you wanna make.

If you can pick up a R33 GTR intercooler for $500-700 its pretty much a steal since wreakers are askin for $950 or so for them.

when lookin for a gtr intercooler (tube/fin) make sure the tubes aint bent, make sure you look carefully inside!

Fins are easily repaired, just make sure its all in ok condition.

You also gotta consider the mounting & also piping, once you buy the intercooler the piping will set u back $600+ (Shop around for this)

Stock R33 intercooler....well dont expect more then $100 2 be honest.

I had one made, cost $700 from memory. And it uses most of the existing pipework, coz the outlet runs back across the car on the underside of the 'cooler.

Im selling a GTR intercooler, R32 ? R33? dont know. tell me how many tubes each has and i could tell you which one i have.

If you know someone in Syd you can trust to site it for you im happy to sell to interstate. I purchased it from an Adelaide wrecker who promised me an IC in excellent condition ($970), what i received was an IC with dents in top and bottom baffle plate. I have had the IC acid dipped, and polished. Now have HKS IC so the GTR IC just sits in my garage.

If your unsure of how much power you want to produce (like myself)

Buy a GTR intercooler, if you want more power keep the end tanks & get a better flowing core.
