Hi all

So another fun day in the skyline owner department.

I started my car up the other day, and after doing my initial checks and my walk around :). I smelled alot of fuel, stuck my head under the car and saw that it was dripping quite a lot of fuel.

I think it's coming from one of the two lines at the back where the tank is. I'll post a pick up later. But it left a nice puddle under the car.

So I shut it down, and called up my mechanic. The car is going in on Saturday.

So I think it's just a fuel line running from the tank. But it brought a question to my mind.

Every time I start my car it will start no problem, but the revs always start off low the build their way up to optimum. Either 1200, 1100 when cold or build up to 1000 when already warm.

Is it normal for the car to build its revs up like that? Its been like that ever since I first bought the car a few months back now.

I've had it serviced and tuned and no one has told me its not meant to do that.

So I'm just wondering now.

If its not right, I've read somewhere that it could be the fuel pump, and fuel line pressure causing that. True?

Thanks for you're help

by build revs you mean that it is running but idling abnormally low and then slowly comes up to where it should be? that could be related to the fuel leak. i had a line on the fuel filter on my commodore leaking and it would turn over for a while before starting, but then it would run fine.
