Parcel Tray Speaker Holes

Hey, I'm wondering if someone can tell me if my parcel tray speaker holes have been modded before. The car didn't come with any rear speakers.

the mounts are missing . find a wreck and grab them.

guess you'll have to buy the new sizes out, 7" speakers... yes Im not kidding

yes they will fit if you buy hte mounts.

no. they are usually white and weird shapes.. the piece you are pointing at is part of the speaker.

I was kidding , chris is right you need the mounts. or make some out of MDF.

they do make 7" speakers now that fit in the 6" mounts on some cars I know sounds wierd

For a neater look I made my own parcel tray. I bought 5mm(? can't remember now) masonite, which is quite stiff, and remade 6.5" speaker holes centered over the wonky shapes in the parcel tray metal.

Later after going through several sets of reasonable speakers I realised that no free-air speaker sounded good in the parcel tray and i've run with no rears for 4-5 years and never missed them. Powerful fronts and a sub both running off a reasonable amp, and the rears are history. =-]
