Front wheel bearings

mine are due i think. the mech's say its tem or just the noise from my tyres on the road.

anyways how big a job is it and what should it cost me to have them replaced?

My Front Ones were due and I knew that they had to be done as at around 120km/h + around corners they were as loud as hell.

but i can't hear it theres a tiny rattle from the wheels at 80+ arounf tight bends but not at other times.

Rattle ?? wheel bearings don't rattle , they rumble and if you turn one way and then the other, the note of the rumble should change ( unless there REALLY stuffed ).

Rattling is something the brake pads , backing plates, low indicator clips or a loose hubcap! j/k make.

Easiest way is to jack the front of the car up, pull the front wheels off and try to spin the hub.

When my front right wheel bearing was stuffed it was stiff and wouldn't spin after i let go.

The left hand side at the time was easy to spin and would spin a revolution or so before it stoped.

Every R33 I have driven has that rattle sound. God only knows what it is but it sure as hell aint the wheel bearings.

And for the record I have driven six.
