Had a drama with the paint that was done on the front bar by the Repair shop as the paint wasn't a good colour match so they did it again.

So finally got it done due to rain holding it back and then got my front numberplate finally put in its final resting place:)

So time came to sort out my Clutch Master as it really wasn't loving life. Was going to cost $120 to recondition my current one or $140 for a new one of which the Boss of the Clutch shop divulged was actually a brand new Clutch Master for a D22 Navara because his son had done an RB25DET conversion on his Navara and he noticed they were the same one. This information relating to the fact most parts for Imports aren't listed, As is the case with a part number for an R33 Clutch master Cylinder. So what do i do? I hit up a mate at a 4X4 wrecking yard for a second hand D22 Navara Clutch Master Cylinder. Got myself a 2010 D22 Navara Clutch Master Cylinder with only 8000KM on it for $35 LOL.

Just had to change over the rod and hey presto :D

D22 Master is the clean one obviously.

Time came to get my front Calipers painted and front Rotors Machined(Slightly warped). Took it into my mates workshop and he sorted it out :)

Someone chose the absolute worst colour of blue to paint the Calipers and Rotors lol.

Mate used a Gasket remover to take the paint off the Nissan.

Caliper bolts get Silver Paint for the added touch.

looks pretty good now, gerry will never get another import! He'll turn into a vn driving redneck with 3 odd hubcaps and trying to swap broken fish tanks for skid wheels and police chips lol

Sorry dude, i don't live in Beenleigh anymore lol Plus my commodore driving days are long gone now!

I'll get another import, but, considering i live in a unit the size of a shoe box and have no garage, im in no real rush to be getting anything. But im really really starting to dig 4 door 33's. Might be looking into something like this at the of the year, if all else goes to plan that is lol So until then ill stay up till the late hours of the night looking at other peoples money pits lol

PFC picked up an intermittent random problem with my CAS in the higher range which halted the tune being pushed any further. realistic figure of 174rwkw on 12.5psi on a hot day with a CAS problem.

Tune is quite linear compared to the stock R33 tune. Feels more like a stock R34 tune but still a bit more fun to drive.

Will need to get a new CAS in the future and get some sort of Re-tune (As to whether it will be a bit of a tinker or a full retune is unknown)

4 door has a 20mm larger rear overhang same wheelbase and same underbody setup as a 2 door. Handles exactly the same as a 2door.

I disagree. I have owned 2 4 doors and 1 2 door. 2 door seems more snappy and unpredictable when you cut loose whereas 4 door seems easier to control. Weight is in different areas and 4 door is heavier along with shape of roof and height and whatever. My lowered 4 door still had a higher roof than my 2 door on stock suspension.

From Hedland thats all. Keep it up

Thanks :)

Yeah mate living in Karratha. Impul is over east. Will give it some time and maybe get a respray and a new crank angle sensor then prob get it trained to Perth and then bring it up.

Right now im rocking out with a 3k AU Falcon lol.

You drive yours much? around these parts?

Around hedland mainly on weekends, i use the maloo for longer trips. Bit more comfortable :P

Got another mate here who also owns a bcnr33. Not many good examples of imports around here, its all HSV

Fair Fair

Theres a fairly clean white 32 4 door in town along with a lebspec autosalon style orange 300zx then theres a really dirty MK4 Supra with kit rims bonnet wing all terribly fitted, cracked and dirty lol.

Feeling pretty keen to get crank angle sensor, condenser, retune, respray and bring mine over near the end of the year :P

Saw it briefly going the other way but my first split second glance was "GTR!" aha. Looks awesome. If it wasnt you would it have been your mate?

    • So, more pain. The FAST manifold is a little larger than the stocker. This is problematic because there really wasn't much clearance to begin with, so going from 'barely enough' well into 'no' is sad based on the external dimensions of the thing, even though where it bolts to the head is the same. Result is the fuel rails sit a good 25mm higher, and this is a bit of an issue with the wiring that runs behind the motor, and the fuel lines, and everything else. When pushing the manifold on, it required a huge amount of force to crush wiring looms to fit it, sensors like the MAP sensor are about 1mm from the firewall, and the FPR just has to bend ABS lines to be forced into place. After some brainstorming and some sad drinking, the loom for some reason ran from the grommet behind the ABS sensor, then to the driver side head, then back to the passenger side head. So all of this was pulled back and stripped, a few wires cut and rejoined, so that the 'branch' was now on the passenger side's head as below: Before you basically couldn't see anything behind the driver head. This is much improved! The MAP sensor is now pointing up (instead of at the firewall) Brackets have been made up for the rail. The rails are for a LS1, the manifold is designed around a LS2 as it's base. Which of course has slightly different bracketry and water pump clearance, hence the mods people need to do. Should be hopefully mounted tonight. I spent money on a new FPR that is slightly more compact than my Turbosmart FPR1200. The gauge has also been moved to the rail. There's also apparently an ORB to AN Union instead of the adapter, because the ~25mm of the current adapter is going to make the difference. Provided this all goes together and arrives today, it'll be the totally not stressful attempt to start it.
    • This seems like a pointless exercise. There is no E30 availability. Ongoing availability of E85 should not be assumed. Flex-fuel is the only sensible approach, so you can use E85 when and where you can get it, 98 when that's al you can get, and anything in between as you fill it up and drain it down. And if that means replacing the pumps, fitting a flex capable sensor/ECU/whatever has to be done to these Renault shitboxen, then.....so be it?
    • Sorry, I wasn't very clear.....just that the standard injectors are apparently good over 600rwhp/450rwkw which you won't get to on standard turbos anyway.....they are much better sized from factory than we are used to in RBs.
    • I'm not sure where you are, but United Terrey Hills has E85.
