Converting Lb's to Newton Metres

As you can see from the title to this post i am no Mathemetician (actually the oposite I am a lawyer) !

Can anyone tell me what 1600 lb's is equal to in Newton Metres ? I have tried to work it out on the web searches to no avail.

Hi Jezzrrr,

I found the follwoing for you;

Pounds-force(lbf; lb) to Newtons(N) multiply by 4.448

Newtons to Pounds-force(lbf; lb) muliply by 0.225

Theres probably a nifty little excel program if you search hard enough (i Think my Palmpilot has one) - try Google.

You can use Google to do the conversion (damn, I love that search engine )
