It's on again - the annual club-member awards. These categories are separate to the track awards and will be presented at the final club meeting of 2011 - Wednesday 21st December.

This is a chance to reward those members who make that extra effort and who really make the club what it is - a true honour to acheive.

All members are eligible to vote and all members are eligable for all of following categories.

We ask that you keep your specific nominations private by sending an email to the address below. Feel free to discuss and ask questions in this thread though.

1. Thread / Post of the year

What was the most memorable thread this year for you? Links help

2. Rookie of the year

Who's come along and had a big impact in their inaugural year at SAUVIC?

3. She'll buff right out award

The annual Mines Datsun trophy – those fences can jump out at anyone!

4. Motorsport junkie

Come rain, com hail, come show or shine - who made an effort to get to events?

5. Most improved car

It's the 90210 trophy for the car that just keeps getting better and better.

6. It's not a Skyline but we still love you award

Not everyone packs an ‘R – the trophy for a member without stove-tops.

7. Photo of the year

Nominate one you've seen - or one you've taken. What celluloid masterpiece takes the prize?

8. The Troy S. Brisby Memorial Trophy

Who was there, taking one, or two for the team - often in the shadow of greatness - on time, every time.

9. Club member of the year

The peak. The zenith. The capstone. The best of the best.

10. President's award

Awarded by the president’s discretion. Nominating for this wont do you any good.

Only one submission per member for each award. Any questions post up, otherwise happy voting!

haha was wondering if someone would pickup on it

but last year was most improved car lol :P

I think there should be a rule change that says EVO's cannot win any awards...

PaulR32GTR - heartbreaking - every trackday I walked past his 34 nursing a semi, pure hotness, and now she's gone - damn, at least she's gone fighting.

4. Motorsport junkie

Ant97 - and his reaction at Sandown after posting his PB, bouncing of the walls.

5. Most improved car

No idea - definitely not my car.

6. It's not a Skyline but we still love you award

I don't know that many people so leave this one to the longer term members to decide, plenty of helpful guys at the track helping us newcomers, and they deserve a mention, Martin, John, Ant.

      Nah no bearings, just slip fit.  Would be a reasonably challenging but not impossible job to modify it to run bearings but I'm hoping that's not necessary as I may have well built one myself if I end up spending hours modifying it!

      Brumbys with good shells are bloody expensive, I've looked at 2 "cheaper" cars, and walked away from both,  plus after some research spare parts are fairly sparce I'm starting to think that I missed the boat on finding a clean one that is straight (ish) and without alot rust I'm starting to think about a old Hilux as panels and other parts are much more available as they sold tens of thousands of them I use to be indecisive but now I'm not sure

      Picked up a new OEM boot seal for the MX5 today as the old one got ripped a bit by me being a idiot by seeing if I could fit a large metal tool box in it, it didn't fit, and ripped the seal with the corner of the tool box I am still waiting on time to get the cams and new balancer installed, as well as the repairs to the boot Time will not be an issue soon though

      I was more thinking so it doesn't flop around as much rather than for rotating it. Once you have the balance right, it should rotate well enough, depending on how much resistance there is on the pivot. I think you said the pivot point was on a bearing though didn't you?
