Hello All ,

There's heaps of info here but after many searchs i cant find a fix for my problem ..

I have just bought a M35 2001 T250 55,000 KMS As per pic in profile , drove it back to Kalgoorlie W.A. from S.A. and have tryed to get it over the pits but it has a front end drive shaft noise ...not good .

When you coast along low speed it chatters in the front , the noise is the same side to side can be herd inside and out , If you ride the brake a little the noise goes away ?? .

Work done so far

Replaced front upper control arms LH & RH .

Sway bar Links LH & RH .

Rebuilt brakes .

Silastic back of brake pads .

Everything is tight everywhere .

But if i move the Driveshaft side to side it make what sounds like the ting noise ...

Does anyone know or a guide of what i've missed ...

Might sound silly; but why not just take the car to someone who reconditions CV's and get them to take it for a spin?

These guys can tell all the hallmarks of a worn joint; if they diagnose a shaft issue; get them to rebuild the CV's.

It shouldn't cost the earth; I'd be expecting somewhere in the low to mid $200 mark per shaft.

Also maybe look at wheel bearings.

scottys got one for me but i just need to find some where to get it put in,he could do it but its a prick off a job and he needs a hoist which he hasn't got.

there are a few front diffs floating around i think if you need a replacement

its not THAT hard, yes youll need a hoist and a frame to hold the engine. but its fairly straight forward.

3 of us took around 2 hours doing it for the first time.
