Hi guys,

I am replacing my CAS and want it ldone properly as I don't have access to a timing light.

Does anyone know of a mobile mechanic that can

Install and correct the timing?

It is probably the easiest job FOR a mechanic.

i got a mobile mechenic in woodridge hes a top bloke his name is mark (aka mr safe) 1800 723 395 and his mobile is 0431 077 289, i get him to do my road worthy certs. but to be honest putting the cas in is so easy ive always done it by ear.

most fo the time ill go by the idol of the car it will run rough one way and really smooth the other way. you dont want it to high tho coz it will ping to shit. i used to adjust it buy floggin the car up a hill and if it pinged i turned it down

what part of the sunny coast are you? i work at noosa and have a timing light you can borrow. installing a CAS isn't rocket science, and if you see it somewhere in the middle it would be more than safe enough to drive to your local mechanic (especially if you still have the stock ecu as it will back off the timing if it knocks, as long as your knock sensors are working ok).
