Hello everyone, this is my first post on here so go gental on me lol. I have a 1995 R33 GTR and im looking into a rebuild of the motor. I looking to make around 350kw atw. Im planing on using it on the track in the near future but also want to be able to drive it on the road to work or just around the place. I was just looking for some ideas and input to what i should do to the bottom end to make this power but also have a engine that wont just die on me from the power it is making.

Looking forward to the ideas

Thankyou

Damien

Standard bottom end will handle the power your chasing. If your gona track it on a regular basis id extend your sump or get a baffle kit and over fill with oil before every track day.

Apart from that just use the standard proven formula for 350 on a rb26..

Exhaust

Injectors

Fuel Pump

Apexi PowerFC

2860-5's

Z32 AFM's

Poncams

Wind the boost up and away you go... I would look at upgrading the clutch too at those power levels

Well my car spent 3 weeks at EFI due to some wiring issues and timing issues with Sean the tuner being away.

The AFM power wire was earthing out on the Power steering fluid container got that sorted and installed a new ECU due to the power fc dying.

With tune it made 455hp it previously made 467rwhp we sacrificed power for midrange on a safe tune.

    • Thanks for reaching out!  It's a blessing and a curse at the same time.  I'm undiagnosed but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it in me... I have more half started projects laying around my house, shed, garden, etc taking up space and money, destroying aesthetics than if I added up all of my mates projects together. But, ADHD gives me the ability to hyper focus on things that no mere mortal could even  comprehend.  A recent pool build is an example of that....  I dont know anyone else that would be dumb enough and focused enough to take on then complete something of that magnitude. I call ADHD a superpower but it can equally be completely destructive if not controlled and focusedon the right places. Addiction is a major concern to ADHD people and thankfully my addictions have been no worse than projects, XBOX, chocolate and being an arsehole! It's often hereditary and my 13 year old son is currently learning how to drive it at the moment. Keep lurking! If i can finally finish this bloody thing at some point it will be a win for all of us ADHD'ers! 🤪
    • I've been quietly following this thread for ages, but this one got me. Since my ADHD diagnosis (and associated learnings and prescription) I'm way less inclined to wade into forum yarns when there are better things to do with my time, as half the time I'd end up in some kind of forum debate even if that wasn't my intention. I've not lost the ADHD "superpowers", just am a lot better at directing my hyperfocus into slightly more constructive things, but haven't stopped quietly lurking in here in my spare time.
    • Stripped the tank down and gave it a good scrub. It came up really good! Not sure if I'll just put it back in like that or give it a blackening treatment (such as Bowdens The Black Box). That might give it a matte look so might just run it as is.
    • @MBS206 Ha ha, yeah ADHD is a daily battle to not get drawn in to doing things you want to do that you know you shouldn't do!  Every single time I walk into my shed I end up doing something I started the day having zero intention of doing! I keep mentioning the 1 step forward, 3 steps back scenario and I'm tipping people that are blessed with ADHD (yes, blessed) are the worst at that!
    • We import a lot of cars from Japan. I'd say that approximately 20% of our traffic is imported JDM cars (mainly consumer cars like the Mazda Demio, Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, Suzuki Swift, etc.). We also import a lot from the UK, but this has decreased after Brexit. Apart from the consumer vehicles, two of the larger, well-known dealerships frequently import iconic '80s/'90s JDM cars. I haven't heard of anyone importing from Australia, and they are not advertised (unlike Japanese ones), despite a lot of Maltese migrating to Australia in the '50s and '60s.
