ok so ive got a heap more inbeetween photos ill put up later but 4 now ill try to bring this all up to speed, after the last time i drifted it about 9 or so months ago, id gottn sik of emptying the catch can every pass, i tried all the tricks to combat this, but inevitably the motor was pumped.

motor pulled out with the plan to just re ring it and put bak in, didnt quite happen that way...

got an offor 4 the microtech, so sold that and it went from there.

parted out old motor and setup.

while waiting 4 bits (and $) got a bit bored and shit got outa hand!

with fitment came other issues, i could only bash so much and couldnt bring myself to totally tub it so after a lot of thinking and a couple a cans of courage i took to the inner front gaurds

post-48133-0-36782600-1322388798_thumb.jpg

cut out gaurd

cheers guys! yea every one was sayin paint it silver or blak!! wasnt interested, ive always been a fan of 2tone cars and id like to try atleast keep the exterior original lol

yea not sure on the wheels, ive had them on the car 4 years, just only recently got some dishs made for them. all i no is they are old school speedstars, i carnt find ne info on em ne one have ne ideas?

ok so, when motor was out i thought id fix all the movement in the steering, turns out the drag link balljoints, arent serviceable, so basically, i had to find a new complete arm, or go rose jointed. carnt get the part ne more. no were had them. didint want rose joints 4 wat i was doing with the car. priced up the steering box rebuild and nearly had a heart attack, so after a few more cans i thought f it, try to convert it to rack in pinion. so far so good its still worked out cheaper than it was to rebuild the steering box!

trialed fitted with a 33 x member and rack, but motor sat to farward, ended up using a r32 crossmember with the 33 rack, and s13 lcas, 4 now.

pintara steering coloum only needed minor mods to fit,

post-48133-0-67166500-1322476083_thumb.jpg

just had to shorten 15mm

post-48133-0-75349200-1322476111_thumb.jpg

while it was all apart i added asolid steering bush, these things a re awsome, made a massive change to the movement in the colum

still havent driven the car yet, so dont no how it drives, fingers crossed its ok

Very nice, love the DR30 and with an RB up front you've got the best of both worlds. How hard/much is it roughly to get a DR30 RB converted?

There's a rolling shell for sale near me that comes with a 25/30, 25 loom and box, and this thread/car are making it real hard for me to not sell my 32 and get it.

I just keep thinking taking on something like this would be a bit over my head.
