R34 Gtr Intercooler Question

There is plenty of water flow through the top of the radiator, i just pulled the cap off with the water temp at 64 deg and started the car and there was heaps of water flow going through the top of the radiator.

It all started after the GTSS turbos went on. So Im considering just getting new water pipes for the turbos and see if they help at all, a set if about $60 on ebay. I cant see the turbo feed and drain pipes cauing the engine water temps to get that high but on idle.

Im getting cams in the next few months. So will be doing the 100000km service at the same time. Would an N1 water pump be of an advantage or would the std be better. Will get a new craig davies clutch fan aswell.

The impellor design of the Nismo should flow more water with the same effort but how much effect that would have on cooling is probably jack shit. Cooling the water is all in the radiator. Get a triple core.

It flows less water than the standard one so it doesn't cavitate at high rpm

I have a nismo radiator...surely a 2k radiator should be doing the job fine

I thought it had more, larger impellors. Maybe I am confusing it with some other waterpump I saw when choosing what to get.

i had a wierd issue with my car after changing the turbo so this is a long shot for you...

my tuner left the splash gaurd off the bottom of the car after i picked it up and wasn't until the following week i figured out the issue as the fan was blowing the dirt around on the drivway... i then got it put back on and the car ran cooler... just a thought.

Maybe the low temp thermostat is staying open not allowing water to cool fast enough when stopped in traffic ect just a theory

Yeh I had the splash tray off for a bit and placed it back on along with the diffuser and hasnt made a stick of difference

BSA not really understanding where your going with that one, even if it was the stock thermostat it would still stay open in this weather. Also when the thermostat closes it allows the coolant to heat up quicker.

When I was looking at going to a nismo thermostat I did heaps of research there are a few opinions on them. Most people recommended to only use them for track use as some people had overheating problems when used on the road that's why I suggested it. I know I sound stupid but just sharing what iv learnt over the years
