i think whats happened is that they dont completely understand how it works, so its just easier to cry poor

of all the team mclaren and the fuzz are sporting the most complicated setups, so they are bound to attract the most scrutiny

Pretty sure there's an FIA technical directive saying that they wont allow the exhaust to be redirected like that for aero purposes. Something to that effect anyway. I'd fully expect that McLaren exhaust to disappear in the near future.
