I hope it does

Will more than likely push ferrari further down the WCC order with their distict (sic) lack of point scoring ability

and hip-hip-horay for that

Somthing (sic) similar could be said about schumi

let me replay the first sentence for you...

"except that before the last race, it was only Schumi who had scored points for Merc this year."

where's the similarity?

Interesting, will they favour webber now?

Of course not, he is the driver essentially on the out. Unless after 3 more races and Web's is higher in the points scale and performing better etc - then it'll still favour Vetool.

Don't forget that Web's has only really risen back to the spotlight so to speak because Vetool is not performing, combined with the flat tyre etc. I think it's still way to early in the season for RBR to make Vetool play 2nd fiddle. If only Webber could start a F1 car as good as other drivers, the start hurts his entire race. Imagine he started well like all other drivers from his quali positions, would be a much better first lap out as being mid-pack has so much risk with being taken out!

I don't think its a case of Vettel not performing. Its just back to 2010 where Vettel didnt really like the balance of the car and often Webber had a pace advantage, equally as often Vettel had a slightly better setup and pace. Remember up until the introduction of the blown diffuser in Hungary 2010 Webber had won more GPs, leading the points and had every bit of the quali and race pace Vettel did. BUT, come Hungary with the change in the blown diffuser Vettel instantly was a few tenths quicker. Webber won in Hungary because Vettel goofed...but it was clear Webber struggled with the car compared to Vettel. That continued all the way through 2011.

Now, no blown diffuser and its interesting. Webber is a long way from dominating Vettel, but its clear he is back on the pace of Vettel and to date he has just had a little more fortune then Vettel so in turn is ahead on points.

I look forward to the car development this year. I hope to see RBR get a bit more quali pace as if the are to be a hunt in the WDC they need to be on the front two rows for the race and solid podiums week in week out. Otherwise McLaren will just grind away and walk away with the WDC/WCCs

I think that's pretty much on the money Roy, Vettel and the EBD we're made for each other it totally suited his driving style, not so much for webber. Whether both sides of the garage shared all there of throttle maps I don't think we would ever know for sure, but that's tin foil hat stuff anyway. The most pressing issue is getting the drs front wing f duct onto the rb8 because it seems looking at rosberg in china it's a huge advantage for tyre management to have pole.

Yeah, sounds about right.

Definitely too early, long season ahead, anything is possible.

you should. the only reason Schumacher hasn't been in the points more often is mechanical failures, which forced his retirement from 2nd and 3rd. There's no similarity between that and trundling around in the back half of the field while your team mate scores all the points. In fact, last weekend was the first time Nico had been ahead of Schumacher on merit in a race this year.

anyway, looking forward to this weekend. The hotter temps will be a good test of whether the Merc's race form was just down to the cooler temps in China or if they've actually sorted their rear tyre degradation issues.

outside of something strange happening, The Merc will be out the front again, and with no traffic to content with, i cant see why last weekend wont be repeated

Unless they slip into the pack it looks like a merc powered white wash to me

hopefully the iceman gets his stratagy sorted and we see him bumping wheels for a podium this week
