Rb30 To Rb25 Extractors

Hey guys like many of the NA guys on here ive considered replacing the stock exhust manifold with aftermarket extractors.

but, at 500 a pop this seems a bit excessive. with rb30 extractors being cheap and plentyfull i was wondering if i could use the standard flange off my 25de manifold and have it welded on to the rb30 extractors so the would fit the head?

* so instead of having the rb30 flange on the extractors itd have an rb25 bolt pattern.

possible yes, practical no

trying to cut and weld the cast iron flange would be a mega pain in the butt.

you can buy flange plates form 6-boost/etm/any other manifold fabricator, but iirc the RB30 one wont line up with the 25 ports, so will have to be heated and bent to line up etc.

more trouble than it is worth imo.

ah ok, it was just an idea. always keen to save money on new projects lol. thanks zeb ill head down to the exgaust place and have a chat when i get back from sydney.
