2001 V35 Audio Help!

Hey Guys,

Just in abit of a dilemma and would love some assistance... i am on the verge of picking up a 2001 V35 250GT i bought last week and the only problem with it all is that the stock cd player is stuffed... apparantly it has a 6 disc cd stacker and is jammed...it does say something like "CHECK DISC" on the screen when you try to play the cd... now these V35's from what im learning are quite the hard thing to work on...im not so interested in the jap to english coversions just yet...just want to get the cd player working.... now i have read a few topics but nothing really covers my problem... pretty much what should i do here.... the seller who im buying it off has agreed to pay the cost of repairs and took it to someone last week who said he needs to order in a part as apparantly the rubber bands that move the cd player have gone or something or rather and as the seller said it would cost about $200 for the part etc (note. this seller does not speak the best english, so its hard for me to understand some of what he says)

Does anyone have a clue what it might be? i dont want to spend a fortune just yet buying facia kits and that stuff...trying to find the cheapest option possible to get me out of this dilemma!

Sorry if this has been covered but any help would be absolutely appreciated!

P.S The seller told me there is some sort of disc player/card reader in the glove box for the TV...anyone have any idea what that is for exactly?

Don't bother fixing it - it will just blow up again down the track. I heard that parts are no longer available to fix them anyhow.

The disc reader in the glovebox is for the Nav and is completely useless here in Aus.

Buy the Nissan double din kit and put a decent stereo in it. Avoid the "Metra" double din kit like the plague - they are cheap rubbish.

I did the English conversion, but to be honest I had figured out how to do pretty much everything you can do in Japanese ... it is not that hard.

I am sure Chris will jump in here first thing tomorrow and let you know 100% what to do - given he is the best V35 audio specialist in Australia.

I have one out of a 2004 V35 for sale with the console in good condition, all working fine. Non-Bose unit, I am not really sure what it may be worth maybe someone could advise me? PM me if interested.
