Only if you want laaaag, dont they use a 3076 chra? Way too big for the stock housings unless you are shooting for 300kw on 98. I would suggest staying as close to stock sized wheels as possible or you will have to factor in thousands in ecu, engine and gearbox mods.

yeah sorry i should have mentioned that

engine mods? nah. gearbox mods? shift kit SHOULD do it. however i notice the US guys are using new TCs to stop overheating. However this is before they do shift kits.

ECU is a necessity anyway, even if its to trim fuel on a stock setup

unless you have some way of controlling everything don't go bigger than a Sierra Stage 1. This is a proven good setup with the VQ25DET.....if you go bigger you WILL have lag issues.

I have the GT30/71 core with the Garrett BB set but I have spent a lot of time and money getting it sorted......only go this way if you find some way of controlling/modifing the Cams and Throttle restriction!

My suggestion is to go with Precision Turbo's in Wetherill Park.....while GCG are OK they have a very noisy barring......to me they don't sound right.

Cool, appreciate your feedback on GCG, i think I'll avoid them.

I'll do some more research and also give Precision a call when the time comes.

Turbo arrived today too, thanks Griffin!

Sold to me!

I ended up paying $100 for it, not sure if that's good or bad but to me it's a great insurance policy to have hi-flowed and ready to go in when the original one packs it in.

Um, no. Back one page you'll see it's sold (to me). thumbsup.gif

Cheers,

Jas
