OverallSummary

MyR32 GTS-T is one of the most immaculate R32's you will find out there.Generally speaking there are two categories of R32's that I have seen, the first is one wherethe owner has pulled out vents and shoved in gauges, replaced the gearknob, slammed it on 21 inch rims, steering wheel and handbrake with after-market garbage andgenerally has no respect or love for their cars. The secondis the person who just treats the car as a car and really the car just degradesover time from their lack of care, falling apart because nothing is changed orrepaired over time.

Ifit into neither of those categories, as I have treated my R32 with excessivelevels of care and attention, and have restored it to its original beauty

Ihave gone into great detail below because I want to be fully honest about mycar, and because truly I don't want some wanker to buy it,rip out the seats and turn it into a track day car, I would like the car to live on and be cared for. That being said I have listed exactly what I can remember straight from my memory. I keep an extensive journal and folder of all of my car related expenses and for most of the items below I have receipts and documentation.

Interior:

Thisis where I believe my R32 stands head and shoulders above the rest, as I have spentthe better part of an entire year fixing, replacing and improving the interior so that it would meet my standards

Hereis a summary of the work I have done:

· Replaced the standard steering wheel which was faded and torn with a near new R32 steering wheel. This wheel is amazing, there are only 4/5 little scratches onit and one small dig but it is one of the best conditions I have seen a stockR32 wheel in.

· Replaced the gear-knob with a near new R32 gear knob. The gearknob is near perfect withonly one tiny scratch and very very subtle wear in marks

· Replaced the handbrake with a near new handbrake. The old handbrake like most others wasworn and shit, so I replaced the entire handbrake assembly (all the way to therear of the car) so that it would match the quality of the steering wheel andgear knob.

· Replaced the old handbrake and gear knob covers with brand new leather pieces. I notonly replaced them, but manually fitted them into the correct position, gluedand held them in place so that the joins are seamless so that it looks stock

· Replacedthe arm rest itself, and also the arm rest cover with a leather replacement. Ifitted and glued the replacement cover on to match the rest of the interior.

· Replaced both front doors, the new doors have NO digs, scratches or rips in them, andthe original GTR suede is in perfect condition, and is not pealing away. Thedoor covers for the speakers are not scratched, damaged or bent from kicking. In addition the doors lower inserts (the lowest insert) has been replaced withblack leather to match the rest of the interior

· Replaced both rear door plastics, these new sections do not have digs or cuts on themand the suede is just as good as the front

· Replaced both rear ¼ panels (the panels that extend from the back of the rear window tothe driver and passenger sides), the driver's side is immaculate, no clips arebroken and the material is not slipping or peeling away. The passenger's sidehas 1/6 clips broken and a small 50c piece where it is beginning to distort (Ithink it's the heat)

· Replaced front seat belts with Japanese seat belts (for compliance it seems someone usednon genuine seat belts & belt clips), these also included the sensor forthe Japanese belts to see where someone isn't wearing a belt.

· Replaced the dash with a near perfect dash. The dash is springy and no bubbles or distortions

· Replaced the front center air-conditioning vents

· Replaced the reverse mirror (old one didn't work when you pressed on the clip to changethe view)

· Rewired and relabeled the electrics on the driver's side door (a few of the wires were beginningto look really old and like they might fray in a few years, so I fixed them)

· Replaced the ENTIRE dash's lights with colour matched LED's. These are not just onecolour LED's shoved into every hole, for the main T10 bulbs I used brightwhite, for the left and right indicators I used green, for the high beam I usedblue and for the emergency, doors open, engine and other lights I used red. Idid this so the colours would not look washed out from using just one colour.

· Replacedthe climate control unit with LED's. of the 6 bulbs, 2 of them are white, 2 arered and 2 are blue. This is just temporary as they sent me an incorrect numberof white bulbs, this will be fixed before it is sold.

· Replaced the dash surround lights with LED's. For the rear demister, hazard, fog lightetc switches I replaced them with bright white LED's so that you can see whatyou are pressing. For the switches that had red on them, I used red LED'sinstead.

· Replaced the gear surround (with the second generation gray material not the flat blackmaterial) along with the ash tray. Ash try bulb also replaced with an LED

· Main cabin light replaced with an ultra bright white LED

· Twinpod lights replaced with ultra bright white LEDs

· Glovebox light replaced with ultra bright white LED's

· Addeda set of genuine R32 floor matts (in amazing condition)

· Replaced left / right indicator stick with a new one (the white letting had faded)

· Replaced the entire Dash Surround with a new one (some of the lettering on the lightsand wipers had faded)

· Added ORIGINAL door mounted speakers, I didn't just shove 6x9's in the door and boltthem into the metal. The speakers are the original strange eclipse pattern

· Added standard 6x9's to the rear shelf

· Added a standard rear parcel shelf (there was none when I bought it)

Thatis a summary of what I have done to the interior. I took the interior and went completelystock where I could, and replaced awful stock aged components with brand newones, fitted and molded to ensure that they look stock. Overall I wanted myinterior to be excellent since I was tired of it looking old and worn down. This is honestly one of the best interiors I have seen on an R32 considering itis almost 20 years old. There are still some scratches and grazes, but they arebarely noticeable to me and probably not even of concern to a regular person.

Exterior:

Ihave done extensive work also on the exterior of my R32 so that it looks great.I have tried to keep all of the after-market additions to a bare minimum and only use them when I feel they enhance the natural stock look of the car.

Listed below is a summary of the work I have done:

· Replaced standard orange side indicators with clear indicators

· Replaced standard orange front indicators with smoked clear indicators

· Replaced both the front left, front right & front bages with brand new badges (oldones were faded)

· Replaced 'Nissan' sticker on the boot lid with a brand new chrome badge version directly from Nissan

· Replaced 'GTS-T' sticker on the boot lid with a brand new chrome badge version directlyfrom Nissan

· Added R32 Type M rear pods (large pods), these were professionally prepared, paintedand installed

· Complete left hand side of the car has been re-sprayed to match the brightness of theright hand side (left hand side was duller by comparison before)

· Replaced both driver & passenger side folding mirrors as the paint was faded (and itwas actually cheaper to buy new ones than to paint them)

· Replaced T10 number plate lights with ultrabright white LED's

· Replaced the main driving and brake lights with ultra bright white & red LED's (redfor brakes, white for driving)

· Replaced rear indicator bulbs for ultra white LED's

· Replaced front H1 driving lights with Ultra white versions (bright, but not Xenonbright)

· Replaced H3 Fog lights with Ultra white versions (bright, but not Xenon bright)

· T10 parker lights replaced with LED's

· Replaced both drivers & passenger side exterior plastic pieces (the piece that lookslike a large 'L' which runs along the frame of the door

· Replaced both drivers & passenger side exterior door trims (replaced old faded oneswith newer ones)

· Replaced both drivers & passenger side door rubbers (these are not cracked, faded orbeginning to tear in the corners)

· Added 5% tints to the sides and rear windows

· Addeda 30% sun guard tint on the top of the front window

Replaced both windscreen wiper arms and blades for the front, and the arms and blades for the rear + added the cap for the rear arm.

Ihave done a considerable amount of work in keeping the outlook looking bothstock, but also trying to keep it modern by having very nice bright bulbs andmodern white plastics for indicators.

Mechanicals

Ihave done extensive work in regards to the mechanicals. A good majority ofthese repairs and upgrades were done through Croydon Racing Development in NSW,including being tuned and updated.

Listedbelow is a summary of the work that has been done:

· Replacedall 6 individual coil packs (removed shit after-market ones and used genuine parts)

· Fitted a replacement second hand coil pack loom (connecting the coil packs to the igniter)the old loom had broken connectors

· Replaced the Igniter

· Replaced Air Flow Metre

· Removed after-market pod filter system and added a standard genuine R32 air-box (with snorkel)

· Repaired 1 cross threaded spark plug chamber

· Reset the ECU back to complete standard settings

· Replaced both windscreen wiper motors (one didn't work, the other looked old)

· Replaced the bonnet holder clip (the small plastic clip where the bonnet holder stickclips into), and the bonnet holder rubber (the piece that holds the stick inthe right position)

· Added a front strut brace (perfect fit)

· Flushed and cleaned the radiator (it was starting to look a little rusty) + bought anew cap

· Completely Replaced the gearbox oil (change + additional additives put in)

· Replaced the rear window demister unit (the unit itself in the boot, and the connecting wiring)

· Replaced the standard suspension with APEXI adjustable coil-overs (sitting about 15cmfrom the ground at the lowest point, sits at a nice level but still very firm)

· Replaced the R32 wheels with a set of R33 wheels (rims themselves are in outstandingcondition, except for one which is in good condition but has a small graze onthe side), lots of tread left. I also have the set of R32 rims in my garage

· Replaced the front rotors with standard rotors (old ones were standard but worn out)

· Replaced brakes all round

· Used Cross Drilled rotors for the rears

· Complete GTR rear end (the front and rear sections BOTH use the GTR mounting positionsfor their suspension, in effect it doesn't take GTS-T suspension, hence why Iam using GTR suspension)

· Replaced Rear sway bar bushes with nolathane bushes

· Replaced Air-conditioning condenser, pressure and seal tested and then re-gassed

Thatis just a summary of the mechanical work I have done for my car, I have donemore and keep an extensive personal journal of my repairs (along with accompanying receipts for the work).

Summary:

OverallI have spent the better part of an entire year searching for parts on ebay, local wreckers and wreckers abroad (plus people on here) to find the best parts to add to my R32 to ensure that it looked amazing. I have easily spent including the original purchase price of the car, over $16,000 on it, and for a majority of those expenses I have a complete folder of receipts for them(excluding some wreckers as they didn't offer any receipts).

That being said there are STILL some areas where I think the car is let down, I amhonest about my cars flaws

· I wanted to rebuild the entire brake assembly, shim kits and all, as they arestarting to squeak a little(as I have replaced both the rotors and brake padsand no longer have a clue why it makes a squeak)

· The steering has about a 10% pull to the left hand side, as from what I understandthe car has been in an accident and it has thrown the back alignment out, requiring a camber kit. However I drove on the stock R32 rims for over 8 monthsand there was no uneven wear or marks, you can see & have the R32 rims aswell if you like

· I used ultra-thin racing oil when replacing the gearbox oil, as such it's greatwhen it is warmed up and normal, but for the first few minutes of the drivewhen it is completely cold, it's hard to get it into 1st and 2ndgear on the first few changes.

· In the rear passenger side of the car, at the back which is covered by a smallplastic piece (the rear door panels) 2 out of the 6 clips do not fit 100%. Iassume when the car had taken a hit it has shifted the holes millimeters up andthrown out the position. While the piece is fine, and still sits as it should,it just annoys me that it's not flush.

· The front bar itself, while it is in good condition is not perfect, the bottom ofthe bar is scraped and old and really needs to be either replaced or repaired,I myself couldn't find a good enough quality GTS-T bar to replace it with

· The bonnet itself at the very front where the 'S" emblem sits, there is a 1.5cm flake from the paint. On the drivers side front 1/4 panel, just above the indicator is a 1cm long scratch. On the wing are a few tiny scratches, and a 1cm paint flake. There is also a coffee sized paint distortion on the roof near the passenger side, not sure what has caused it.

· On the rear bumper on the driver's side, there is a 5cm long graze, not sure whatcould have caused this

· The suspension I bought it firm, I like it very firm, but I have had both familyand friends complain to me that it feels too bouncy. So this could be apotential issue for you if you want a soft ride.

AskingPrice / Trades

Iam asking for $10,000 firm for my R32, which I think is fair considering howmuch work I have put into my car and how different my R32 is compared to other R32's for sale, in regards to being stock and in such great shape.

I do understand that for that price someone can buy a nice R33, and that's fine, however I don't think you will find an R32 GTS-T in such an outstanding condition as my car and how lovingly it has been treated.

I won't lie and say I haven't driven really fast, however I haven't taken cornersgoing 80kph, or jumped on the brakes or revved it to 6,000 and dumped the clutch etc. I have given it the rare fast drive but have always taken care of it. All of the work has either been undertaken by myself, my regular mechanic or the people at Croydon Racing Development.

I have just added another 6 months of registration (NSW) and I will continue to drive it as my every day run.

Iam after either straight up cash for my car, or for a trade to an R34. Iunderstand that an R34 is in the middle to upper 15K+ range, and I can alwaysadd cash your way to make the deal fair for both of us. I am really notinterested in any other cars, not even an R33 (unless it is really special).

Pleas eenjoy the pictures of my car, I hope you like them, I have much higher quality images on my computer, they were just too large to upload here

Please contact me if you want additional pictures, information or just want to talk.

longest forsale ad ever, don't even need to inspect the car lol gl with sale mate.

Haha yea pretty true, I actually removed some of the post because I thought it was getting a little long.

Well I would rather deal with 3 or 4 interested people who have a good understanding of my car, then have to deal with 10+ tyre kickers & joy riders :P

Ill leave this thread open for a few weeks / months, and link it to my carsales profile (when I make it), be good to see someone on here who appreciates an R32 have it, but even an external person from car sales would be good.

Regards,

Thanks for everyone's private messages, I think I am going to keep my R32, and make it even better, as ill most likely save up and buy a high end R34 in another year.

Shame no one seems very interested, guess there must be a very narrow market for cars that are stock and been cared for. Ah well doesnt matter.

interested mate pm me

Wow I thought mine was clean, another thing your missing the chrome plated bit of plastic that slides on the top of the front bar under the bonnet otherwise you've got a pretty immaculate car, price without rego? Pm me.

Hey again guys,

Yea I know about the chrome lip on the top of the bonnet, its a shame but I haven't seen one around for an eternity, would be great to get it (but I was going to be fully anal I would also worry about not having the mesh behind the fog lights in my front bar!)

I put another 6 months rego on it and I have fixed even more subtle things (small plastic sounds, things misaligned by a few percent, generally things which only I notice), I am not sure about how much, I would prefer people to offer me, as I would like to see what people think of my car and how much its worth.

I will most likely keep it, however if some one offers the right price I have no issue selling it onwards, as long as I think they will treat it right.

"Ohh cant wait to see what it looks like... must be done up to the max..."

scroll scroll scroll

It's a stock. -.-

Hey all again, I have decided not to sell my R32, I have put too much time and effort into the car and realistically wouldn't get anywhere near the amount I want for it (plus it seems like a really narrow market trying to find someone who knows their R32's and want a clean stock one).

I am still after an R34, however will probably save up for another year and buy a top of the line 20K one, So in the meantime I will do up my R32 a little bit more to keep it going well.

Shame, but ah well in the end its all good :P

Thanks for all of the emails / messages guys!
