Great truck for sale, This vehicle was being built to tow my old man's caravan for my retirement. unfortunately i only got to do one short trip and now it is up for sale due to ill health.

It is 1986 FK415 mitsubishi dual cab. ex fire tender from qld airport. licensed to carry 7 persons.158000 original kilometres 6 cyl diesel with 4 speed allison automatic.

new garrett turbo charger fitted. still under warranty with turbo glide N.S.W.

new air conditioner fitted by Direct automotive.

new injectors and valves tuned for fuel economy

ram air system, all hoses on motor have been replaced with new

new air filters and fuel filters

radiator has been flushed and pressure tested

electric lift cab and cab lift rams have been overhauled

P.T.O. still on truck but has been disconnected

on rear and two brand new steer tyres on front

4 custom chrome trims on all wheels

new 4 ton hayman reece towbar fitted with custom chequer plate rear

electric trailer brakes, reversing camera and anderson plug fitted

3 new batteries 2 for 24volt system and 1 for 12 volt operation with battery equalizer charger

custom rear box made with galvanised frame 3mtrs x 2.2mtrs x 2 mtrs high with side door w/lock

water tank on side of vehicle L.E.D. lights on truck.

truck has sunvisor, stoneguard,bull bar, driving lights, tinted windows, air horn, compressor outlet,

3 x 24 volt to 12volt reducers, C.B.arial, CD player with ipod connection, blue tooth.

air ride drivers seat, seats have been re-foamed and new upholstery two tone.

brakes in good condition with air over hydraulics with air hand brake ane exhaust brake.

Great tow vehicle for caravan or race car,or mobile workshop.

Will be sad to see such a great vehicle go, but i just can't use it to it's fullest potential

    • I definitely agree with you there - I never click on content for cars I would never ever be able to get or compete with/against/be seen next to. Seeing a MX5 compete with a FD RX7 will make people upset though, for sure. Even in 2.5L Turbo form which is pretty grass roots. (or at least as grass roots as classic cars can be) Yes we're all classic car owners now.
    • Wonder what the cause is, but here's hoping it's nothing too serious.
    • People don't always want builds that are overly expensive, or have engineering/registration/insurance issues and head aches that come with them Whilst big dollar builds, and complicated stuff is interesting to watch, there is only a tiny % of people who would actually use this information, or have the spare finances to drop on said builds, whereas the buy a cheap(ish) cool car, and make it better, with a average budget, that the average Joe or Jane could achieve will always be a winner in my opinion 
    • Bit of a thread revival, you mentioned wanting a bit more top end before, do you regret not going with the 1.01?
    • It's kind of interesting - They definitely do builds that split the difference between what they like and what will generate views and engagement. The NC Platform always surprises everyone in a good way, in an uncomfortably good way some may say. They could throw a LS in there and arguably have the best (and best performing) car of the entire stable. But that isn't necessarily what draws views, because people viewing don't want to accept the vegetables of a LS NC MX5 being a superior vehicle in every way (including fun) than a RB26 240Z. This is also why there's not a lot of content about the GR Yaris (on the web in general). They're too good, yet 'only a Yaris' The community doesn't want certain cars to be as good as they are - to beat their hero cars, and I believe the NC MX5 is absolutely one of those cars.
