Just got my car back with the GTX2863's in my -5 housings, and it is heaps better, I have 30psi with 638hp at the wheels on E85 now, and the response and power in the mid range picked up heaps.

Can you tell me what needed to be done to the -5 housings to get the GTX cartridge to fit? I have a pair of GTRS's that would benefit from this change.

If you weren't after a big top end then the GTX2860Rs are looking the part compressor map wise . The gaps between GTX60 63 67 are not that big and its interesting the trims go something like 58 56 55 .

On paper the 60mm version looks to be a jack of all trades thought the 63mm one looks to be more GTRS/-10 territory .

Be very interesting to see how the 60mm GTX turbo goes on a standard or mildly warmed RB26 .

A .

Yeah I honestly dont know what to expect from them. 400,450,500. who knows. could only base it on Gav's 63 results @ 27

Should be able to hold 30psi or whatever it takes to get them in range though.

Surging? Never heard of that with these gtx's.

In the stock -5 housings they will surge apparently.

My GTX 3076 surges loudly at part throttle, as the boost comes on. Sounds cool. :P

What was the setup?

Built cammed 2.6 33 gtr, stock airbox, stock cooler, intakes and piping, stock bov's (probably leaking boost.) twin 3 inch exhaust with split dumps (why split? The wastegates should be welded shut imo. 3 inch dumps ftw ;))

Not sure on the turbo chra, other than GTX in -5's.

Looks like a Melbourne car. Yes?

Yep.

I just fitted 3/4 length Xspurt 2000's in it's rail due to the 1000's blocking with that black gunk. I also fitted a 10 micron paper element filter to trap any further crap in the fuel. It's not the first ethanol car to show these blockages, although mine has been fine.

Can you try find out whether they are 60 or 63's?

Peak torque and ~425kw on 2.6 @ 5k seems pretty impressive.

~ 600nm and 300kw @ 4500rpm..

What are your -5 and 2.8 figures piggaz?

Someone care to overlap a graph with piggaz' graph? should do a back to back for us Paul..

Wonder how much the 2.5" housing limits the performance... Either way, no bad.

These twins would be a ball tearer in the factory compressor housings with Tial rears and external gates welded off the housing, hanging underneath the turbo's. Do it Fatz. :P

Well I do have a kkk t3 twin high mount kit in my shed

Would be a nice upgrade with modern turbos attached and on a 3 litre

Daz was saying this is on a Hubber. Anyone care to have a guess at what the difference is between a hub and roller dyno?

My last figures were 375 kw at 4500, 425 kw at 5000 and 470 (6500) odd up top. Boost was 27 tapering back to 25 top end.

Interestingly was the difference between setting "2" and "3" on my controller. Setting 2 is 23 PSI (give or take) and the midrange was 50 KW less than setting 3.

It would be interesting to have both cars there, get out of one and into the other.

They're 63's IIRC.

Damn stout effort. I'm too wonder if the standard compact housing is/will hamper the GTX's. Power wise it seems up there but it's the apparent surge that might be an issue.

I'm fairly sure that chequered tunings dyno is setup so it's spot on with local roller dynos.

Gav made 500 on less b
