N1GTR
We really need discopotato to comment on those 2530 housings to see if that core can go into existing housings Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/384897-new-garrett-gtx2860r-2863r-2867r/page/4/#findComment-6182635 Share on other sites
black bnr32
I'm having constant issues with the flex from 90deg silicon bends such as? hoses collapsing? just curious, as I'm also running 90 deg silicon bends off my compressor inlets. black bnr32
where are you guys getting rear housings for dash 5s? I've been looking for some forever. new, used, whatever... Gav
Seeing that all te intake piping needs to be changed, have you had a quote for that Gav? No not yet - there are a few ways to skin the cat on this one. Given that the new GTX terbs have a 3" inlet (much larger than the 2" GT versions), I am thinking of new 3" piping from the pods to the compressor inlet. where are you guys getting rear housings for dash 5s? I've been looking for some forever. new, used, whatever... Perth Garrett dealer tells me Garrett have 13 in stock (I assume he means Garrett Australia?). Anyway, part number is 430609-230 and retail inc GST is just shy of $400 per unit. SimonR32
such as? hoses collapsing? just curious, as I'm also running 90 deg silicon bends off my compressor inlets. They have too much flex so it's so much easier for them to pop off. I've also had then weaken due to heat and split Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/384897-new-garrett-gtx2860r-2863r-2867r/page/4/#findComment-6183309 Share on other sites
black bnr32
I had one split too, but it was crappy quality. I was only able to find the housings in stock here in Canada at a place called ExoticSpeed. $270 CAD http://www.exoticspeed.ca/ Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/384897-new-garrett-gtx2860r-2863r-2867r/page/4/#findComment-6184592 Share on other sites

R31Nismoid
They have too much flex so it's so much easier for them to pop off. I've also had then weaken due to heat and split +1 They can also catch fire... Or at least heat to the point they harden and crack. I had 3 90 degree bends do that, usually around 2,000kms they would last (this was on the 31 years ago). Gotta have a steel 90degree bends if you can when close to manifolds/heat. Piggaz
Bloody things! Wish they were bolt on. It would be nice if someone made a bolt on intake kit for them! Would this mean the loss of our airboxes? Ryan1200
Surely Hypergear could profile the new front wheels and then machine the standard -5/2530 front cover for a direct gtr bolt on.. bigmikespec
Surely Hypergear could profile the new front wheels and then machine the standard -5/2530 front cover for a direct gtr bolt on.. ...and sell it for the same price without turbine housings Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/384897-new-garrett-gtx2860r-2863r-2867r/page/4/#findComment-6188384 Share on other sites
